More pleasant weather expected for today

Advertiser Staff

The weather today is expected to be much the same as it has been for the past several days, according to the National Weather Service.

A ridge over the islands will keep the weather dry and the winds light through, tomorrow, forecasters said. South winds and a few showers will develop tomorrow night as a front approaches from the northwest.

The front is expected to reach Kaua'i on Sunday, bringing clouds and showers as it moves down the island chain, reaching the Big Island by Monday night.

The front is not expected to produce any strong winds or heavy rain.

Dry weather and light winds should make their return on Tuesday.

Toward the end of the new week, a shear line may bring more showers and a return of the trade winds.
