Fabric softener sheets are good for more than just making the laundry smell sweet. www.HawaiiMoms.com moms use them as:

  • Pest repellent/cleaner: "Take them with you to a picnic, hang them around a compost heap or around spots in your home where you know bugs come in. Also, you can rub them directly on your skin," writes armywife88, who also adds ... "Throw in a few dryer sheets in your dirty pots and pans, fill with warm water, soak for a few minutes, and, voila! ... That stuck-on gunk comes right off!"

  • Duster: Used dryer sheets are good for picking up dust off wood floors.
