Participating in the event will be King Kekaulike High School senior Rick Yamamoto, who has just attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and students from Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus fourth- and fifth-grade who won their age division at the 2008 Na Mele O Maui song competition. Yamamoto will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the Kamehameha students will perform their winning song.
