Soccer fans have a final opportunity to see Hale'iwa's Brian Ching play in Hawai'i tonight when he leads the reigning Major League Soccer champion Houston Dynamo in the title game of the inaugural Pan-Pacific Championships at Aloha Stadium.

The Dynamo play Gamba Osaka of the J-League at 8:30 p.m. The Los Angeles Galaxy — including superstar David Beckham — play Sydney FC at 6 p.m. in the third-place game.

Ching assisted two of the Dynamo goals in a 3-0 win over Sydney FC of the A-League in the opening day of the tournament Wednesday. Gamba Osaka beat the Galaxy, 1-0.

The Galaxy's Landon Donovan did not play in Wednesday's game because of tendinitis in his knee and isn't expected to play tonight.

About 15,000 fans showed up for Wednesday's games, but "ticket sales are strong and we expect a great crowd" for tonight's games, Pan-Pacific press officer Gabe Gabor said.
