Tractor theft suspects caught in Pearl City

Advertiser Staff

Two men were arrested last night by police in Pearl City on suspicion of stealing a front-end loader tractor.

An anonymous tip to the tractor's owner, passed on to police, led to the arrest of a 44-year-old man fronting 794 Lehua Ave. at 8:20 p.m., who was allegedly seen by officers driving the loader.

A second suspect, 33, allegedly assisted in the theft of the tractor by holding a gate open, police said.

First-degree theft charges are pending. The two suspects each have three prior convictions on their criminal records.
