Advertiser Staff

A "how-to" workshop on college admissions and the financial aid process will be available Thursday for college-bound students at Kapolei High School.

The workshop takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kapolei High School cafeteria and is sponsored by the Hawaii Association for College Admission counseling in conjunction with First Hawaiian Bank.

Topics of the workshop include college admissions criteria, selecting high school courses, college entrance tests, college election, financing college and financial aid programs. Attendees will receive a free copy of the workbook "College Planning — A Family Affair."

The session is available to all students grades 9-12 and their parents. Handouts, refreshments and door prizes at the workshop are underwritten as a community service by First Hawaiian Bank.

A similar program will be held March 6 at 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kalani High School cafeteria.
