Hawaiian Air parent posts $3.3M profit, reverses loss

Advertiser Staff

The parent of Hawaiian Airlines reported that it earned $3.3 million or 7 cents per share, during the fourth quarter of 2007.

Hawaiian Holdings Inc.'s latest results reverse a net loss of $9.6 million, or 20 cents per share, during the year-earlier period.

For the full year, the company netted $7.1 million, or 15 cents per share, compared with a loss of $40.6 million, or 86 cents per share, in 2006.

Shares of Hawaiian slipped 13 cents to $4.95 on the American Stock Exchange today.

"The modest improvement in our 2007 results belies a year of both great challenges and notable achievements," said Mark Dunkerley, the company's chief executive officer.
