Limited number of free Waianae Y programs available

Advertiser Staff

The YMCA in Wai'anae will offer free programs during spring break to more than two dozen students from Wai'anae Intermediate, Makaha Elementary, Kamaile Elementary and Leihoku Elementary schools.

The two weeks of programs, beginning at 9 a.m. March 17 at the Poka'i Bay Malaea Heiau, include camping, crafts, physical activities, games, cultural tours to area Hawaiian sites, and a visit to the Leeward Nursing Home.

The programs are limited to 25 students, and YMCA officials have given administrators at the four schools an equal number of application forms. Applications can be picked up at each school office.

Students must bring their signed, completed forms to the YMCA facility at 86-071 Leihoku St. to be considered.
