Pedestrian, 67, seriously injured on Kauai

A 67-year-old woman pedestrian was seriously injured today when she was struck by a vehicle in Princeville,

The pedestrian was standing in the middle of Pepelani Loop at the Kahaku Road junction, waiting to cross Kahaku Road at 7 a.m. when she was struck by a vehicle making a left turn onto Pepelani Loop from Kahaku Road.

The pedestrian was taken to Wilcox Hospital. Police cited the 53-year-old female drive on suspicion of making an illegal turn.
