Expect lane closures near Aloha Stadium tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists of multiple lane closures near the merge of the H-1, H-3 and H-201 Moanalua freeways to the Kaonohi Street overpass from 9 p.m. tomorrow to 4 a.m. on Saturday as workers do lane striping and marker installation work.

At the freeway merge point, the closure will encompass the two right lanes of the H-1 Freeway and the leftmost lane of the H-201 Moanalua Freeway. During this closure, the H-1 Freeway west-bound on-ramp from Ulune Street and H-3 Freeway west-bound Pearl City off-ramp (Exit 1A West) will also be closed.

West-bound motorists are advised to use the earlier Stadium/Halawa off-ramp (Exit 1C West) and use Ulune Street, Moanalua Road or Kamehameha Highway as alternate routes. Traffic will be able to rejoin the west-bound H-1 Freeway from Moanalua Road at the Waimalu Interchange.
