Pothole repairs on Sunday along H-1 Airport Viaduct

Advertiser Staff

The three right-most lanes of H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct will be closed in the west-bound direction from the airport on-ramp to the Kamehameha Highway/Aloha Stadium/Arizona Memorial off-ramp (Exit 15A) on Sunday from 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for concrete pavement repair work.

All on- and off-ramps will remain open during that time.

The roadwork is part of a $9.1-million project to repair potholes along a nearly 3-mile stretch of the H-1 Freeway Airport Viaduct top deck between Middle Street and Valkenburgh Street. Crews will use a fast-forming concrete to fill in potholes.

To minimize vibrations along the viaduct while the concrete cures, the speed limit near the repair area will be reduced to 15 mph. Special police officers will be on site to enforce the speed limit.
