IBM HAWAII

IBM Hawaii has promoted Steven Sakata to sales manager for Hawai'i and Guam. In his new position, Sakata oversees the sales operations for consulting services, software and technology. Previously, Sakata was a certified client executive for research universities in Boston and Cambridge, Mass.

HONOLULU BOARD OF REALTORS

The Honolulu Board of Realtors has announced the election of the following 2008 officers: president, Dana Chandler, Hawaiian Island Homes Ltd.; president-elect, Sandra "Sam" Bangerter, RE/MAX Kai Lani; secretary, Joyce Nakamura, Global Realty Marketing Inc.; and immediate past president, Berton Hamamoto, Property Profiles Inc.

Established in 1922, the Honolulu Board of Realtors is one of the largest of 1,600 such boards in the nation and the largest trade organization on O'ahu.

MAKE-A-WISH, HAWAII has elected the following officers for 2008-2009:

ENERGY INDUSTRIES

Energy Industries has hired MATTHEW THOMAS as energy project developer. Before joining Energy Industries, Thomas served as project manager at Suntech Hawaii. Energy Industries is a national provider of energy services that focuses on providing energy efficiency and renewable energy to its customers.

HAWAII SELF STORAGE

Hawaii Self Storage has named Daniel Ho as president. He has been general manager of the locally owned self-storage chain for the past two years.
