Windy start to 2008 expected

Advertiser Staff

Expect a breezy start to the new year.

The National Weather Service is forecasting northeast winds today between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph on O'ahu.

The winds will die down — to about 15 mph — tonight.

Meanwhile, forecasters said the Leeward and Windward sides could see cloud cover and some isolated showers through the day.

High temperatures today will range from 75 to 83 degrees.

Tonight, expect lows from 66 to 71 degrees.
