Home repair workshop first of library's programs

The Kahuku Public and School Library will hold a series of free programs this month including a home repair workshop, a book club gathering and even "Game Night at the Library: Guitar Hero."

"Easy Home Repairs with Bill Racoma" will be on Friday from 1-2 p.m.

Next Tuesday, the Kahuku Book Club will discuss "Half of a Yellow Sun" by Chimamanda Adichi, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Set in Nigeria, this story is about the Igbo tribes who are working for independence and creating the Republic of Biafra. This program is suitable for adults

On Jan. 15, all "Guitar Hero" wannabes ages 9 with a valid HSPLS library card are eligible to participate in this program, which will feature the Play Station 2 "Guitar Hero" game.

Registration is required and limited to 10 per hour.

The library is at 56-490 Kamehameha Highway.
