Man arrested after firework damages vehicle

A 48-year-old man arrested yesterday on suspicion of launching what police described as an "improvised pyrotechnic device" that damaged a vehicle in Kalihi has been released pending further investigation.The device shattered the front left and right windows of a parked vehicle across the street from where it was launched, police said.
The man was arrested at 3:15 a.m. on suspicion of first-degree reckless endangering, first-degree criminal property damage and possession of a prohibited weapon.
