St. Andrew's plans Epiphany Lessons & Carols

Advertiser Staff

St. Andrew's Festival of Lessons & Carols will also have a special Epiphany event.

At 5:30 p.m. Sunday will be the Epiphany Festival of Lessons and Carols, a service that weaves carols and hymns together with readings from scripture. The first Lessons and Carols service was created in 1880 by E.W. Benson, later Archbishop of Canterbury, and held on Christmas Eve in Truro, England, in a wooden shed.

The candlelight service includes the Cathedral Choir and Hawaii's largest pipe organ.
