Waikiki Aquarium is looking for volunteers to staff its galleries, exhibits and gift shop.

After a free training, volunteers are expected to donate at least two hours a week for six months.

The next volunteer training runs from Jan. 15 to 31.

Class meets Tuesday and Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers learn about underwater wildlife and how to interact with aquarium visitors.

Volunteers also get free aquarium admission and receive discounts at the gift shop.
