Murder charges are pending against a 19-year-old man arrested last night in Waipahu on a $20,000 probation-revocation warrant.

RJ Ham, who lists no permanent local address, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. at an apartment on Pupupuhi Street following a nine-day search. Police later booked Ham for investigation of second-degree murder.

Ham, who was convicted in May 2006 of second-degree assault, is suspected of fatally stabbing Fugitogamala Savea, 18, according to police.

Savea died Dec. 26 at The Queen's Medical Center about 75 minutes after being stabbed through the heart at 12:01 a.m. near a mini-mart at 2215 N. School St.
