Help recycling drive and get $2 gas gift certificate

Advertiser Staff

The public is invited to bring recyclables to the Mililani Park & Ride on Saturday for the 35th Aloha 'Aina Earth Day Recycling Community Clean-Up project.

The project, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., will benefit Boy Scout Troop 32. The Mililani Park & Ride is located at 95-1101 Ukuwai St.

Every car that drops off a recyclable item will receive a $2 Aloha Gas gift certificate and a coupon to purchase the "Shock & Awe Breakfast" at Kitchen Delight Okazuya in Wahiawa for $1.50.

Curbside recyclable pickup will be available in Mililani, Wahiawa, Waipi'o Gentry, Waikele and Waipahu. To schedule a pickup, call Phyllis Nakasone at 623-8769 or Rene Mansho at 306-1876.

Recyclables wanted include scrap metal, newspaper, cardboard, beverage containers, usable clothing and household items, car parts, green waste, batteries, telephone books and computers.
