Advertiser Staff

Students from all 256 public schools will return to class Jan. 14 after a three-week winter vacation. Teachers are scheduled to return to the classroom Jan. 11 for a teacher workday.

The lengthened three-week winter vacation was instituted two years ago under a unified year-round school calendar. The calendar also includes a six-week summer vacation and a two-week spring break.

Public school students officially went on winter vacation Dec. 21. The Jan. 14 return date does not apply to the state's four multitrack public schools.
