Advertiser Staff

Waipahu boxer Brian Viloria defeated Colombia's Jose Garcia Bernal by unanimous decision today in Los Angeles.

Viloria, who improved to 20-2, dominated the eight-round bout. All three judges scored it 78-72.

"I feel great; a little sore, but happy just to get a win," Viloria said.

It was Viloria's first bout since a loss last April in a fight for the WBC light flyweight world championship.

Today's fight was a non-title bout in the super flyweight (115 pounds) division.

Bernal dropped to 27-10-1.
