Punchbowl assault suspect to appear in court today

A 46-year-old Punchbowl man is scheduled to make his initial court appearance this morning in District Court on kidnap, terroristic threatening and assault charges stemming from an alleged assault on a 31-year-old woman Wednesday morning.Brent Jones is accused of punching, threatening to kill the woman and holding her against her will at a Pele Street home.
