Waves peak today; new swells expected tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

The current north-northwest swell has peaked and will be subsiding slowly through today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along north-facing shores will be lowering to 5 feet to 8 feet today. West-facing shores will see waves of 2 feet to 3 feet. Surf along east-facing shores will be 4 feet to 6 feet and south-facing shores will see waves of 2 feet or less.

A pair of small northwest swells are scheduled to arrive tomorrow and early next week. But moderate surf along east-facing shores will diminish this weekend.
