Warrior volleyball team stops Ball State in four games

Jim Clar had 23 kills and Jacob Schkud added 12 to lead the Hawai'i men's volleyball team to a 26-30, 30-26, 30-24, 30-17 victory over Ball State tonight in the 14th annual Outrigger Hotels Invitational at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Warriors improved to 1-1. The Cardinals are 0-2.

Matt Sprague led Ball State with 12 kills.

In another match today, Penn State defeated UCLA, 30-19, 30-26, 38-36.

Penn State plays Ball State, while UH plays faces UCLA in tomorrow's final day of the tournament.
