Preps: Lahainaluna hands Baldwin its first loss

Nuti Poysima scored 13 points to lead the Lahainaluna High School boys basketball team to a 51-49 win over Baldwin in a Maui Interscholastic League game last night at the Lunas' gym.
Ty Carter added 10 points as the Lunas handed the Bears their first loss of the season.
Lincoln Seto scored 18 points to lead Baldwin. The Bears' Micah Shibano had 12 and Viliami Lavaka added 10.
The Lunas and Bears are now tied atop the MIL Division I standings at 3-1.
After trailing 17-9 at the end of the first quarter, the Lunas scored 22 points in the second quarter to take a 31-29 lead at halftime.

At Lahainaluna's gym, Maiki Viela had 20 points to help the Lunas remain undefeated.
Milika Taufa had 12 points as the Lunas improved to 4-0.
Samantha Agtunong led Baldwin with five points. The Bears fell to 2-2.
Leading by a point after the first quarter, Lahainaluna broke the game open in the second and third quarters, outscoring Baldwin 39-9.
