Maui park partially open after storm damage

Advertiser Staff

Maui's Kama'ole Park in Kihei is now partially open to the public, with entrances at the north and south ends accessible.

The park suffered heavy damages from last month's severe storm weather.

Now that water lines have been repaired, the public restrooms and showers are available and a temporary lifeguard tower has been placed on the beach.

Parts of the middle section of the park continues to be closed due to the storm damaged wooden lifeguard tower and beach erosion.
