Advertiser Staff

Nanakuli High & Intermediate School continues to be plagued by off-hour break-ins.

Police responded to an alarm call at 3:31 a.m. today and arrested a male burglary suspect coming out of a room allegedly carrying stolen items.

The man was arrested for investigation of second-degree burglary.

The suspect is a Nanakuli resident from Ualakahiki Place. He has six prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.

On Oct. 21, a break-in at the high school office resulted in a deliberately set fire that caused $400,000 damage.
