Assault arrest follows Makalapa traffic dispute

Police today arrested a 24-year-old Kalihi man on suspicion of attacking another man during an argument started by a traffic incident.A man, 26, suffered serious head injuries from the 3 a.m. incident near 99-199 Kamehameha Highway in Makalapa, police said. The injured man allegedly was assaulted by two men, one of whom was arrested for second-degree assault and is being held on two minor warrants totalling $250.
A second male suspect fled before police arrived.
