Homemade explosive detonated at Kauai school

Kaua'i police are investigating the detonation of a homemade explosive device Friday night at Kapa'a Elementary School.

The 11 p.m. explosion shattered the glass window of a sliding door to the school library. No one was injured and no other structures were damaged, police said.
