Larger surf expected to arrive late Wednesday

Advertiser Staff

Big wave hunters will have to settle for 3- to 5-footers along northern shores today and wait for a much larger northwest swell expected to arrive on Wednesday night. The National Weather Service said surf along north and west shores may surpass high-surf warning levels on Thursday, then gradually subside Thursday night through Saturday.

Elsewhere today, surf will be 2 to 3 feet along west shores and 1 to 2 feet along south shores.
