Chris Brown concert at Blaisdell sold out

Advertiser Staff

Tickets for the Chris Brown concert scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Blaisdell Arena are sold out. Tickets went on sale Saturday, Dec. 29.

Brown, R&B's fresh-faced darling of dance and stick-in-your-head pop songs, will make a one-night-only appearance in Honolulu. Rapper—and frequent performance partner— Bow Wow is reportedly slated to share the stage with Brown.

The 18-year-old Grammy-nominated artist has been compared to pop king Michael Jackson and fellow singer and dancer Usher. His self-titled debut album, released in 2005, is certified double platinum. His first single "Run It" and the follow-up single "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)" both made the "Billboard Hot 100" top ten list. His most recent album, "Exclusive," was released Nov. 6 and features a number of collaborations with artists such as T-Pain and break-away soloist-of-the-moment, the Black-Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

The February performance is Brown's first concert in the Islands.
