Backdoor Shootout hopes to go tomorrow

The sixth annual Da Hui Backdoor Shootout may get the "green light" tomorrow if a northwest swell arrives as predicted.Competitors are looking forward to 6- to 8-feet surf, Hawaiian scale, with it building to 15 feet by tomorrow.
If the surfing contest goes on, it will start at 8 a.m. at Pipeline. Spectators should look for the scaffolding at 'Ehukai Beach Park.
