Ewa Beach couple charged with Wahiawa burglary

A woman free on bail and man wanted on two outstanding warrants were charged today with allegedly breaking into a Wahiawa home yesterday.

Shannon Carleen Ahuna, 35, and Joseph Anthony Pasion, 28, both of 'Ewa Beach, were allegedly arrested inside a Peach Street residence after a teenage girl called 911 to report a burglary in progress.

Ahuna, also known as Shannon Hoopai, was charged with first-degree burglary, being a felon in possession of a firearm and two other weapons offenses, and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail totals $175,000.

Pasion was charged with first-degree burglary and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Pasion also has two warrants of $20,000 each.

Ahuna and Pasion each have 14 prior criminal convictions. Ahuna's record, which dates back to December 1994, includes six convictions for first-degree burglary.

Ahuna was charged with first-degree burglary last month but was released Dec. 20 after posting $25,000 bail.
