go! planes 65.8% full last month

Interisland airline go! said its planes were less than two-thirds full in December.

Mesa Air Group, which owns go!, reported today that its interisland carriers were 65.8 percent full last month, which was down slightly from 66 percent in December 2006.

A total of 51,419 passengers flew on go! last month, which was down from December 2006's 58,437.


HAWAIIAN TELCOM STORE RELOCATES

Hawaiian Telcom's Pearlridge retail store has moved to a new location on the upper level of the mall's Uptown center near Borders.

Hawaiian Telcom offers a variety of telecommunications products and services, such as high-speed Internet with speeds of 3, 7 and 11 megabits per second; wireless phones; and the "Hurricane Kit Essential" basic cord telephone.

COMPANIES EXTEND AGREEMENT

PCLender, a Honolulu-based provider of mortgage processing services, said an agreement with CitiMortgage has been extended.

The company said the agreement allows PCLender InHouse Mortgage customers to do business with CitiMortgage's investing arm.


CRUISE LINE SELLS 50% STAKE FOR $1B

Apollo Management LP has completed its $1 billion investment in Norwegian Cruise Line and its NCL America unit that operates interisland cruises in Hawai'i.

With the Apollo investment, "NCL is now in the strongest financial condition we have ever enjoyed in our 41-year history," said NCL Corp. President and CEO Colin Veitch.

Apollo has become a 50 percent owner of NCL. Star Cruises, NCL's previous sole shareholder, is now a 50 percent owner.

Apollo will name a majority of the NCL board of directors with certain consent rights retained by Star.


PET CARE FRANCHISE COMES TO O'AHU

FETCH! Pet Care, a Mainland-based pet care franchise offering professional pet sitting and dog walking services, has expanded to Hawai'i.

The local franchise, FETCH! Pet Care of East Oahu, is owned by Dana Funai, and offers services for pet owners from Hawai'i Kai to downtown.

AUW OFFICIAL WILL SPEAK JAN. 16

"Marketing on a Shoe String Budget" is the topic of the Public Relations Society of America's monthly meeting Jan. 16.

Jody Shiroma Perreira, vice president of marketing communications for Aloha United Way, is the keynote speaker for the event scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Plaza Club.

The Aloha United Way is a nonprofit organization that raises approximately $20 million annually in its local and federal campaign.
