Motion City Soundtrack plays Pipeline Sunday

Motion City Soundtrack returns to Honolulu Sunday for a one-night-only performance at the Pipeline Cafe.

The Minnesota pop-punksters have managed to sidestep the music mainstream, remaining proudly alternative with their first two albums, which garnered critical acclaim in small (but strong) circles. But now the boys have hit the big time with their third album, "Even if it Kills Me."

Released last September, the record, which was co-produced by Fountains of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger, has catapulted them to the top of the international Billboard 200 chart and right into the mainstream of things.

Tickets are $26 (general admission) and $50 (VIP) and are available at http://www.ticketmaster.com; charge by phone at 1-877-750-4400.
