Former Hawaii Shipyards head to lead BAE unit

Bill Clifford, former president and general manager of Hawaii Shipyards Inc., has been named president of BAE Systems Ship Repair, the largest U.S. nonnuclear ship repair, modernization and conversion company.Clifford will assume those duties on April 1, succeeding Al Krekich, who is retiring, BAE said.
Clifford will oversee a business that provides ship maintenance and modernization services to the Navy, government and commercial customers in Hawai'i, Norfolk, Va., San Diego and San Francisco.
