War returning to Hawaii for concert at Pipeline Cafe

War, the rock, soul and blues band known for such hits as "Cisco Kid" and "Why Can't We Be Friends," will give a concert Feb. 28 at the Pipeline Cafe.

Big Island-based King Michel Concerts and Ron Gibson, founder of the Diamond Head International Music Festival and Conference non-profit group, are partnering in the venture. War last performed in the 2006 inaugural festival inside Diamond Head Crater.

Tickets — $35, general; $60, VIP — will go on sale at 9 a.m. Jan. 18 at Ticketmaster locations, including Blaisdell Center's box office, Times Supermarket sites, ticketmaster.com, the Pipeline box office, and www.kingmichelconcerts.com.
