Honolulu Family Festival planned for August

After two successful years of record-breaking attendance, the Honolulu Family Festival will resume with a two-weeked schedule this year, from Aug. 7 through 10 and Aug. 14 through 17, at Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park.The family-friendly event will feature food, rides, games and entertainment and is presented by Mayor Mufi Hannemann, the city, Honolulu 100 and E.K. Fernandez Shows.
Admission is free; scrip for food and rides will be available for purchase on site, with part of the proceeds going toward the refurbishment of Ala Moana Beach Park.
