Children's center to host Putumayo 'Hawaiian' party

The popular world music label Putumayo World Music will next week celebrate the launch of its latest Putumayo Kids CD, "Hawaiian Playground," at the Children's Discovery Center.The album features local artists such as, Robi Kahakalau, Teresa Bright, Willie K. Keali'i Reichel and Imua singing backyard kanikapila-style kids' tunes. Imua will perform at the launch party, which is set for 11 a.m. Jan. 19. Admission is free.
