Advertiser Staff

In celebration of Chinese New Year 2008, the Hawaii State Library is scheduled to host "Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui in the Year of the Rat," a free informational program on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 10:30 a.m. in the Lobby.

Conducting this program will be Alan S. F. Lum, author and a leading authority on feng shui. He has taught feng shui classes in Honolulu and practices traditional feng shui and the more specialized Flying Star Feng Shui.

Lum is the author of two books: "Feng Shui for Lunch" (2002) with Clarence Lau, and "The Centuries Old Philosophy and Practice o Traditional Chinese Feng Shui and the More Advanced Flying Star Feng Shui" (2002).

In this program, Lum will apply the principles of the Chinese art of placement to the Chinese New Year (4706 in China). This 90–minute program is recommended for ages 12 to adults.
