Advertiser Staff

Hawaiian Telcom today offered an early retirement incentive package to 55 employees . The offers were made to employees working in specified job titles based on business needs. Eligible employees also must be 55 or older with 25 or more years of service, or be age 60 or older with five or more years of service.

The Company has asked eligible employees to make their decision by Jan. 25. Retirement would commence on Feb. 1.

"The voluntary retirement incentive offer is a part of the company's realignment effort announced this past October, that addresses cost structure," said Chief Executive Mike Ruley. "We see this as a positive step in our strategic plan to improve our financial and operational performance."
