Kilauea volcano lava flow stalled

A channelized 'a'a flow advancing toward Royal Gardens subdivision has stalled about a third to a quarter-of-a-mile above the subdivision this morning but the upper part of the flow "is still very much active," according to the U.S. Geological Survey.Only one permanent resident in the upper portion of Royal Gardens is threatened from the flow, according to the USGS.
