Advertiser Staff

There's a definite chill in the air this morning, especially in Central O'ahu.

At 2 a.m., the temperature at Wheeler Army Airfield stood at 60 degrees, not exactly freezing, but mighty cool by Hawai'i standards.

Other temperatures as of 2 a.m. from around the state: Lihu'e 72; Barking Sands 66; Kane'ohe 73; Kalaeloa 65; Moloka'i Airport 66; Lana'i 60; and Hilo International Airport 65.

The record low at Honolulu International Airport for this date was 59 degrees in 1998.
