CBKB: N.C.'s Williams cuts scalp after tripping in office

Associated Press

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — North Carolina coach Roy Williams cut his scalp today when he tripped over a cord in his office and hit his head on a wall.

He was being treated by medical personnel and would be unable to attend an afternoon news conference, team spokesman Steve Kirschner said.

"He was on his feet unaided, but he was bleeding from a scalp injury," Kirschner said.

The top-ranked Tar Heels play North Carolina State on Saturday.
