High-surf advisory remains for north, west shores

A high-surf advisory remains in effect for all west- and north-facing shores on O'ahu.Wave faces along north-facing shores will be 15 feet to 20 feet this morning subsiding to 8 feet to 12 feet by the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
Surf along west-facing shores will be 8 feet to 12 feet this morning, decreasing to 6 feet to 8 feet this afternoon.
Surf along east-facing shores will be 1 foot to 3 feet through today, while most south-facing shores can expect surf of 1 foot to 3 feet today with locally 2- to 4-footers along exposed southeast- and southwest-facing beaches.
The large northwest swell will gradually subside through Saturday night. Another large north-northwest swell will arrive Sunday and may produce surf above the warning threshold. The current southeast swell will decrease very slowly through Saturday night. A new small south swell is expected Sunday.
