Assault suspect arrested in Mapunapuna

Assault charges are pending against a 42-year-old woman who allegedly punched a police officer in the face early yesterday morning in Mapunapuna.The woman, who has no permanent local address, was arrested for trespassing at 2628 Waiwai Loop and allegedly punched the officer while being escorted to a patrol car.
She was arrested on the additional count of first-degree assault of a law-enforcement officer.
