Advertiser Staff

A Nanakuli man was charged yesterday with assaulting his estranged wife Thursday night in Waiau.

Ryan K. Keouli, 24, is accused for second-degree assault. He was released today after posting $100,000 bail.

According to police, Keouli and his wife, 22, are in the process of getting a divorce.

Keouli allegedly went to a Ho'ohiki Place residence of a male acquaintance of his wife and allegedly beat her on the sidewalk.

The woman was taken in serious condition to the hospital and initially arrested Keouli for attempted second-degree murder.
