Prosecutors today charged two Waikiki men with felony offenses following a police investigation into a 20-year-old woman's complaint that alleges she was held against her will since Wednesday, sexually assaulted and forced to prostitute herself.

Jonathan Payne, 43, and La-Shawn Adams, 35, are being held in lieu of $100,000 and $50,000 bail, respectively, pending an initial appearance at District Court tomorrow. Both were arrested Friday at 120 Kaiulani Ave. — Payne at 1:25 p.m. and Adams at 1:45 p.m. — for investigation of first-degree promotion of prostitution, first-degree sex assault, kidnapping and third-degree assault.

Payne was charged with first-degree promotion of prostitution and kidnapping while Adams was charged with first-degree sex assault and kidnapping.

The alleged offenses occurred in Waikiki and Kalihi on Wednesday and Oct. 26, 2007, according to police.

Police are seeking two other unknown male suspects.
