Silversun Pickups to join Incubus at Shell on March 21

Advertiser Staff

Los Angeles indie rockers Silversun Pickups will open for Incubus, scheduled to appear in concert March 21 at the Waikiki Shell.

Silversun Pickups, also known as SSPU, released their only full-length album, "Carnavas," in 2006 to critical acclaim, garnering a loyal following among fans of distorted-guitar rock.

SSPU, whose sound is somewhere between Modest Mouse, Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins, have also opened for Wolfmother and Foo Fighters and have toured with Snow Patrol and treadmill dancers OK Go.

Reserved seats for the March concert are sold out, but lawn seats ($40) are still available online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 1-877-750-4400.
