Tickets for Honolulu's White Party on sale tomorrow

By Kawehi Haug
Advertiser Staff Writer

Tom Lombardo, known in the gay events world as promoter Big Tom of Big Tom Presents, is hosting a "White Party" Sunday, Feb. 17 at The O Lounge.

Lombardo, best known in these parts for throwing wild-and-out-parties for Honolulu's gay scenesters, moved to San Diego in late 2005. He returns to the Islands a few times a year to remind his one-time followers why his events were always on their must-go lists.

This time around, Lombardo is promising his biggest "White Party" ever, with Los Angeles DJ Cary Stringfellow and crossdresser extraordinaire Flava along for the ride.

The proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Gregory House Programs and The Foodbasket. Gregory House Programs provides housing for people who are displaced as a result of acquiring HIV/AIDS. The Foodbasket provides nutritious food for low-income individuals infected with HIV/AIDS.

Tickets are $25 and go on sale tomorrow at the following locations: 80% Straight, Over Easy Down Under, Diamond Head Video, Tapa's and Sure Shot Café. Admission is for those 21 and older; suggested attire is, of course, white.
